(This may create some heat)
For the last eight years I have heard and read the phrase "moderate muslim" over and over. This phrase has been used many times yet it has never been defined. By default it means any muslim who doesn't practice terrorism. That's not a good enough definition. To me, a moderate muslim is the equivalent to a backsliding Christian. That is, one who claims Christianity as their faith but does nothing to support or prove it.
The phrase "moderate muslim" also begs the question, what of the believers of islam who don't practice jihad, yet support the ideology? Should they still be considered "moderate"?
Based on the koran and its supporting texts these "moderate muslims" are not true believers. If they are not willing to truly practice what mohammad has directed them to do, then they are not true believers in the "prophet and his allah".
To all you TRUE believers in islam, we ARE at war with you. Your religion is oppressive and murderous. Your ideas of freedom and liberty are diametrically opposed to ours. Despite what the President of the United States said, we ARE a Christian nation. The majority of the people in this nation still worship G-d and believe Jesus to be his Son. Therefore, your ideology is the enemy of all Christians. We may do a lousy job of displaying it but there are quite a few backsliders.
Matthew 10:32
Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
So YES. We are at war with islam. We would've preferred a verbal spat calling for dialog and debate. However, the islamists have chosen rockets, bombs, and acts of terror. In the not so distant future, they will regret their actions.
