For Eight years I would turn on the TV, read a newspaper, open a magazine, or listen to a radio show and hear how George W. Bush was a fascist, liar, imperialist, idiot, and any other derogatory name you can think of. Though I was disappointed in President Bush's actions, it was more ideological than anything else. I do not believe him to be a liar, imperialist, or idiot. He definitely wasn't a fascist.
I always found it tragically humorous that people would have open access to the news media where they would berate the man and then finish with a phrase of "We are having our voiced silenced". I would have to believe that the people making these comments were the true idiots. The Patriot Act did not squash our civil rights. Captured terrorists sitting in Guantanamo Bay waiting for their chance to be water boarded were not able to kill any more Americans. The death rate of our soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan was less than the rate in California. People in America went about their daily lives with very little inconvenience.
In 2001 President Bush attempted to bring forth the coming crisis in the housing market and was attacked by Barney Frank and others as making up a crisis that didn't exist. Now this same Barney Frank is attempting to be a senatorial hero. Now he has the White House and a majority in congress to back his claim and cover up his misdeeds. The true idiots were those who, when asked during the presidential campaign, who had the majority in Congress and they answered. "The Republicans". If this didn't scare Americans, then there are more of these idiots than preciously thought.
Barack Obama, is at best a Socialist. He may well be a communist. His recent actions definitely fall into the category of Fascist. Nationalizing banks, attempting to take over GM, spending billions of American Taxpayers future dollars all for what? So the government can take over our daily lives and tell us what we can and can't do. After all, the government knows what's best for us. Even though history, both past and present, shows otherwise. From the Fairness Docctrine to the "radicals" reported to the Department of Homeland Defense, anyone who questions and disagrees with the current administration is looked upon as an enemy to this "new" country. I say new because, Mr. Obama promised in his election campaign as well as after his innauguration, that he was going to "rebuild and/or remake" our country. The individual and personal property are gone. They are going to be replaced by collectivistic government.
Mr. Obama's supporters don't even bother trying to deny the claims that he is socialist. They answer with a flippant "so what?!" America is being dragged to a non-existent socialist utopia. One that has failed every time it has been attempted. The Individual American is what made this country great. The individual American who believed in his God, fought for his country, and loved his family. God, Country, and Family are now jokes to the modern secualr humanist. To them, everything is relative. As long as it feels good, do it.
America is not done yet. There is a fight coming. The American spirit will not be quashed by arrogant, elitist hubris.
