Inviting the Fox to the Henhouse

It has been stated that recent overtures to engage Syria and Iran in the diplomatic process have to do with securing Iraq once American troops start to withdraw. Being a student of history, I am confused as to how this would be considered a good thing. Syria and Iran are presently involved in both Lebanon, with Hizbullah, and in the Gaza Strip with Hamas. Why would America want them involved in "securing" Iraq?

What makes an administration ignore facts that are right in front of them? I'm sorry. I forgot, Barack Obama was elected on a promise of hope. Therefore, disregard the truth, and hope for something better. This has to fall into a definition of insanity somehow? Iran and Syria would be more than happy to get blatantly involved in Iraq as opposed to the latent actions they are involved in presently. They would no longer have to kill American soldiers they could kill Iraqis instead. Over time, and not a long period of time, they could place their own politicians into the Iraqi government and eventually get the proxy puppet in Baghdad equal to the one in Beirut and Gaza.

Inviting Iran and Syria to the table in regards to Iraq is inviting the fox into the hen house. In the end, the farmer is left with nothing. In this case, the farmer is America and the Iraqi who intended on building their own nation . These same Iraqis will eventually see themselves placed in prisons equivalent to the ones Saddam Hussein used to run. This would negate the sacrifice of Americans, both militarily and politically. The socialists in America would do their best to blame George W. Bush for getting us into the war when in truth it will become a failure because of this administrations decisions.

Millions died after the Americans withdrew from Vietnam. Vietnam was not lost because of the military it was lost because of the politicians. The same will happen in Iraq. Just like then, the politicians who were afraid to fight the war as needed, and then withdrew because of their failures, will blame others. How many children will be murdered because some fat bellied, posh, ignorant, American politician believes that America is the cause of all of the world's ills?

Inviting Iran and Syria to the adult table is like inviting a Anheuser Busch to an AA meeting. This is pure insanity.
