I am still waiting for the Democratic policy on dealing with terrorists? Has anybody heard one? Other than "redeploy troops" in the Iraq war, I have heard nothing in terms of dealing with the rest of the terrorists such as Syria, Iran, Hizbollah, Malaysia, Indonesia et al. Are the going to trumpet the Iraq Study Groups proposal? Are they going to just vote to defund the war? What are they going to do?
My bet. Just like the defunding of the South Vietnamese that led to the slaughter of untold millions, they will do the same here. The Democrats have never met a brown person they didn't want to victimize (The Iraqis qualify as brown people as they are darker than the average white guy). The Democrat answer, as far as I can tell, is let people die until we are forced to do something. What that something is, who knows?
The truth of the matter is they have no answer therefore they have no policy. Like Socrates, they can bad mouth and question the choices of others but can come up with nothing themselves. Whereas Socrates was able to think and argue anything, the Democrats recycle the same arguments which are as meaningless now as they were over 30 years ago. Teddy Kennedy must really like Genocide because he has contributed to the occurrence of one, watched two more happen and appears ready to contribute to another. Gotta love those Kennedy boys. Wasn't it Joe who liked Hitler?
The President may or may not be wrong. At least he has done something and is continuing to do something. What has Ted Kennedy ever done? A couple million people have been murdered under is watch. Not to mention the bridge. There hasn't been enough blood shed to satisfy Ted. Throw in John Murtha and the rest of the "runaway" crowd and we can watch human carnage nightly on the news just like we did in the 60's and 70's.
Of course all of this will be laid at the feet of George W. Bush. Had we left Iraq alone none of this would be happening. Saddam killing his own people is his problem not ours. What's worse, Not attempting to help or setting up the scenario for mass murder? This is what the democrats will have to live with. Worse than this, this is what America will have to live with. The democrats have created the new Vietnam. First through propaganda then through their inaction. Our colors may not run but our politicians are world class sprinters.
