Yesterdays questioning of Secretary Rice by Congresswoman Boxer told us more about the California democrat. She claims she has no personal stake in the war. I beg to differ. Her decisions, past, present, and future are her's and her's alone. This holds her responsible and accountable for the results that her decisions cause.
She cannot disassociate herself from these decisions. People will die no matter what decision she settles on in regards to the war. If she supports it, people die. If she opts for withdrawl, people will die. This rests solely on her shoulders as it will each and every member of the House and Senate. The tragedy of this is that Ms. Boxer probably doesn't see the correlation. She is so used to blaming others that she is incapable of holding herself responsible for her decisions or actions. Only the everyday average person is responsible. She isn't. She's a government representative. She answers to a different call. Mainly one that absolves her of responsibility.
This woman sickens me. The arguments she makes against the war are nothing but emotional drivel that don't play in wartime. Here's an idea to all of you people who frown upon the military and claim to support it. GET OUT! If you want a nation that doesn't use it's military move to France. If you want a nation that sits around telling themselves how wonderful they are move to Spain. Don't tell me you are for freedom when you aren't willing to fight for it. Don't tell me you are concerned about other people while you let them live in oppression and fear. Don't tell me you're a feminist and then sit by while women are raped, beaten, and kept from an education due to their gender. Don't tell me you care about the future if you aren't willing to fight for the present.
Barbara Boxer is the perfect example of what is wrong with the present generation in America. Emotion trumps substance. Feelings trump fact. As long as people like this live within our borders we will continue our downward spiral into oblivion.
