Hassan Nasrallah and his group Hizbollah are taking this manipulation of the press and media a little too far:
"George Bush and Israel are trying to overcome the resistance movements in Lebanon, Palestine, and Iraq by means of promoting civil war," Nasrallah said during a speech in Beirut.
It isn't George Bush or Israel that is trying to topple the duly elected government of Lebanon. It wasn't George Bush that was launching rockets and homicide bombers into Israel. It wasn't George Bush or Israel that had Fuad Siniora penned up in his house. It isn't George Bush or Israel that is doing the business of Iran and Syria. It isn't even George Bush and Israel that is causing the problems between Fatah and Hamas.
The fact that the man would make a statement like this shows his chutzpa. The truth is a non factor and manipulation and propaganda is a terrorist tool. Tragically there will be people that read this and believe it. His statement will show up on a protest sign somewhere.
I keep asking why is this man still vertical, I have yet to get an answer. What was happening in Lebanon that required resistance? Oh yeah, Sharia law wasn't the rule. The people elected a government and Nasrallah wasn't happy about it. The militias were to be disarmed and he definitly didn't like that. He has tried to link his actions with the actions of the terrorists in Palestine and Iraq. This is a way to glorify himself to his fellow Islamists. They're stupid enough to believe him.
What a wonderful world we live in.
