Words that I am tired of hearing:
Stability
Consensus
Bipartisan
All three of these words are overused and overrated. Iraq was stable with Saddam in Power. Iran is stable with Ahmadinejad in power. Syria is stable with Assad in power. Would anybody like to live there? Stable does not imply peaceful, tolerant, or enlightened. Stability is usually a buzzword for a despotic regime that uses force and propaganda to maintain control. By all accounts of modern stability, the word stable will soon go the way of tyrant.
Who needs a consensus when the decision is about right or wrong, good or evil? Societies have proven over time that the consensus is usually wrong. Our own revolution against the British was not born of a consensus. The overthrowing of slavery was not achieved by consensus. Heck, had it not been for the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor, there wasn't consensus to enter into WWII.
Bipartisan is the worst of the three. Who cares if your neighbor doesn't agree with how you run your household. Who cares if you are a strict disciplinarian and the schools are pansie-like. You know what your family needs in order to survive and succeed. If I am against abortion and someone else is for it, how do we get a bipartisan answer? Easy, one of us will have to sacrifice our integrity. I don't intend on doing it. How do we get to a bipartisan answer then? That's when the propaganda and name calling comes out. Are there times when a bipartisan result can be attained? Yes. However, in matters of right and wrong, good and evil, victory or defeat, bipartisanship is a non player. If you get it, great, if not, who cares.
This modern idea of political correctness is going to destroy us. You can't see this, you can't say that. You can't do this, you must do this. Pathetic. I am who I am. I really don't give a hoot what others think of who I am. Outside of my creator and my family, opinions, as they say, are like a$$----s.
